South African house mainstay, DJ Clock returns to Get Physical to follow up his recent ‘Mudih’ single with another rich two tracker.
Hailing from Vosloorus, South Africa, Clock has been a key figure on the house scene since 2008. A skilled keys player and groove maker, he has worked with AM-PM Productions and won awards for his albums (there have been five in all), collaborations and even ringtones. A household name in South Africa, he is now rightfully gaining a reputation around the wider world.
He kicks off here with ‘It Won’t Work’, a steamy eight-minute opus with languid drums and the sort of sultry, soul melting vocals from Kimosabe that make a lasting impact. House music as spiritual as this doesn’t come along all too often, but DJ Clock is a master of the form.
The equally brilliant ‘Riders’ is another spine tingling deep house tune with majestic melodies and earthy percussion dancing over the drums. The effect is intoxicating and as things roll on you sink ever further into a star-gazing reverie.
This are two more standout tracks from the cultured DJ Clock.

That is a ridiculous piece of music. Such a massive wall of sound...big beat meets trans European express...with a touch of acid house....I am astonished by by how good this and quite a few of the DJ.M productions are... varneym
